Western Marquees has been operating from our base in Dewlish, near Dorchester for over 13 years under the personal management of David Britton. Supported by full time, year-round employees, Western Marquees can offer a quality product and service for your bespoke marquee event.


Western Marquees strives to offer the complete personal service you need to help organise your special event thanks to a total of over 60 years cumulative experience in the marquee sector.


Meet our staff below...



David Britton Managing Director David started out his career in farming but soon the events industry beckoned leading to his acquisition of Western Marquees in 2002. He prides himself on a friendly personal service.  
Amanda Britton Event Administration With over 200 hire jobs per year Amanda deals with all the associated paperwork and adjustments for your event. She will usually be the friendly voice at the end of the phone ready to answer any queries you have in relation to your event.  
Ed Uden General Manager Ed started working for Western Marquees when still at school. After completing his A-Levels the draw of the events industry brought him back to Western Marquees full time. He now manages various marquee hire jobs as well as managing teams onsite.  
The Team! Marquee Erectors David, Amanda and Ed are ably assisted by their devoted team of marquee erectors. Damian, Ian, John and Piers are with Western Marquees all year round. When things get really busy in the summer the team grows. Many of our university students work for us year on year!
